Submissions

The 44th Masthead, Volume XLIV, 2024-2025

Pitch your story (Google Document with suggesting permissions) to stentoriansocials@gmail.com. Please include the story’s section, photos (JPG or PNG), along with captions and photo credits for each photo in your email. Your story will then be passed to the respective section editors, who will work with you closely.

Make sure to check your inbox/Messenger often in order to smoothly prepare your story for publication, whether that be in print or online.

What do deadlines look like? If you would like to be published on our website, there is no deadline for the submitting or editing process. If you would like to be published on our newspaper, please send us your article draft within the first two weeks of the month.

Please check that your submission meets the requirements of the AP Stylebook before pitching. Follow the word limits, but feel free to negotiate with the Editorial board under select circumstances. Typically, stories published online can be longer than the stories on print.

At least 2-5 photos are required for each story, unless negotiated with the Editorial Board. Each photo must have a caption and credits.

The Stentorian typically does not publish anonymous articles: we may grant exceptions only in the case of topics related to personal or safety-related matters. Interviewees should be listed with their first and last name.

Every story, regardless of section, has the opportunity to be the cover story as long as it is school-exclusive. For more details about the cover story, please contact Teresa Fang at stentoriansocials@gmail.com.

For literally anything else, regardless of how much work you put into writing or how random it might be (or it could simply not fit with any of the current sections above), submit it to our blogs page. Blog submissions will be reviewed solely for the purpose of screening for potentially code-of-conduct-breaking things and grammar (if applicable).

Please email blogs to stentoriansocials@gmail.com. Photos/visuals (with credits) not required, but preferred.
